a time for a new brew!
Pears with Ginger and Cardamom.
The first step to a new Cocktail.
Two pears sliced, 3 or 4 slices of ginger and the seeds of 2 cardamom pods. I placed it all in a jar and sprinkled some sugar on it. This will cause the pears to juice up a bit and release more flavor.
Now the mixture is covered with Everclear
(flavorless high proof grain alcohol).
I let it sit for several days in my fridge, turning over the jars daily, to meld the flavors.
Next (stay tuned) to incorporate this into a new Cocktail with a tea simple syrup.
