Super Bowl of Punch

Tis that day of days for the All Americans to crowd around a
Television, consume, and root for their team.
I do not participate, though
I do strongly believe in gatherings involving bowls.
So to do my patriotic part,
I am posting this  time tested, classic recipe for a
SUPER BOWL OF (FISH HOUSE) PUNCH
In preparation, freeze a block of water in either a bundt pan, or a half galloon milk container or just about anything
that will leave you with a large chunk of ice.
In a large vessel (but not your final bowl)
place 1cup of sugar
3.5 c. of water
Mix together until the sugar is dissolved.
Add 1.5 c. of fresh lemon juice (6-8 lemons) strained
750 mL of Jamaican Rum (amber)
1.5 cups of Cognac
2 oz. of Peach Brandy
Stir well, cover and chill for at least 3 hours
Place your iceberg into the punch bowl
pour the Rum/Brandy/Lemon Juice Mix over it
Give it a good stir, melding the flavors.
Gather your compatriots and serve.
Now do your duty!
