That Tree, You Must Not Eat - a Gin, Pomegranate & Applejack Cocktail

Excerpt from the evocative poem by Joy Katz
That Tree, You Must Not Eat

 First, she imagined the taste.
She didn't mean to, but the fruit tormented her
with its colors of the world.
The snake said, everyone's eating it.
Look how happy they are.

Why resist temptation?

Recipe for two, (of course)
3 oz. of Gin (as floral as you can find)
1 oz. of Laird's Applejack
1 oz. of fresh lemon juice
1 oz. of homemade Gulab Sharbat*
Pour all of the above into a shaker and shake. Add ice, and shake some more.
Strain into chilled Cocktail glasses that have been lightly sprayed with Rose Water and garnish with rosebuds.
 Snake is optional.
Sip provocatively.
